ABOUT IVIC'21


International Visual Informatics Conference (IVIC)
This year marks the seventh installment of International Visual Informatics Conference (IVIC). Previously organised by the Institute of Visual Informatics, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, IVIC is now owned and has become the signature conference of the Malaysian Information Technology Society (MITS). This bi-yearly prestigious conference will be co-organised and hosted by a university in Malaysia on a rotational basis. The Institute of Informatics and Computing in Energy (IICE), Universiti Tenaga Nasional has been nominated to be the host of IVIC 2021.

Institute of Informatics and Computing in Energy (IICE), UNITEN
The Institute of Informatics and Computing in Energy (IICE) was established in December 2016 to promote, catalyse and administer research that fall under the areas of computing and informatics in energy. With ‘Energy Infostructure’ chosen as the niche area, IICE aims to position itself as a hub for education, research and development in the area, and aspires to be the point of reference for research pertaining to the implementation of ICT throughout the energy supply chain and/or the smart energy grid.

Malaysian Information Technology Society (MITS)
Malaysian Information Technology Association (MITS) is an association that was established on 26 August 2008 during ITSim08. The association was officiated by the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. The association serves to develop new ideas and knowledge in the field of IT, as a body recognized to appoint Fellows in the field of IT and a body that gives certification recognition in the field of IT.
